Recent advances in high pressure and high temperature in‐situ x‐ray studies using sintered diamond and synchrotron radiation

Combination of a newly devleop high pressure apparatuses employing sintered diamond as an anvil material and very strong x‐ray from a synchrotron radiation enables us to extend the P‐T range of an in‐situ x‐ray diffraction studies considerably. Characteristic features of the modified Drickamer‐type apparatus, which works up to at least 50 GPa, are described.
