Thermoelectric cooling to 130 K and lower temperature

This paper represents results of 2nd and 3rd parts of the program of optimization of standard thermoelectrics for operation at the possible lower temperature. Now a 6‐stage cascade module is reported based on (Bi,Sb)2(Te,Se)3 thermoelectrics of different optimized composition. When T hot=223 K, it develops ΔT max=93 K and has T cold=130 K. Next step is to use 5‐stage module of standard materials and sixth stage of n‐Bi‐Sb alloy and p‐(Bi,Sb)2(Te,Se)3. This 6‐stage module achieved significantly lower temperature than 130 K.
