We determine the finite temperature Casimir effect of an Abelian vector field for a pair of parallel perfectly conducting plates in a Randall-Sundrum II model extended by p compact dimensions. We implement perfectly conducting conditions as a codimension one problem in the higher dimensional theory. The resulting Casimir force encodes the structure of the field modes as vacuum fluctuations and so it is sensitive to the extra dimensions of brane worlds. It can be neatly expressed in terms of two four-dimensional Casimir force contributions: one for the massless mode and the other for a tower of massive modes associated with the extra dimensions.
