SGRs and AXPs as white dwarf pulsars

Recently, a new view of SGRs/AXPs expressed in terms of massive highly magnetized rotating white dwarfs (WDs) in total analogy with the case of pulsars originating their energy from the rotational energy of the neutron stars has been presented. Furthermore, we present the recent discoveries of two SGRs with low magnetic field sharing some properties with the recent detected fast WD pulsar AE Aquarii, to support the description of SGRs/AXPs as white dwarf pulsar. In order to test this new view, we present several properties of these SGRs/AXPs as WD pulsar, in particular the X-ray luminosity and surface dipole magnetic field.
