Predictions of unknown nuclear masses by local mass relations in terms of neutron-proton interactions

Nuclear mass is a fundamental quantity of nucleus. Some of unknown nuclear masses are key inputs in studying rapid proton and rapid neutron capture processes of synthesis of heavy nuclei in the universe. In this talk we discuss a new approach of predicting unknown nuclear masses by an extrapolation method based on systematics of neutron-proton interactions.
