Possible detonation modes arising due to the formation of an intermediate gaseous phase are considered for the case of the system. It appears that explosive destruction of a steel matrix observed at compaction of the composition cannot be explained by the system combustion in a closed volume. The mechanism of shock-wave destruction at detonation of a capsule containing the mixture is proposed for interpretation of the phenomenon observed.
