Considered is a wireless network where nodes transmitting simultaneously at some common power are located at the points of a Poisson process in the infinite plane. In the case of a pure power-law path loss model, the probability distribution of the interference power sum at an arbitrary reference point is evaluated exactly. In particular, when the attenuation exponent equals 4, the distribution in closed form is obtained.
