Exchange biasing by Ir19Mn81: Dependence on temperature, microstructure and antiferromagnetic layer thickness
We have investigated the thermal stability of the exchange biasing interaction in antiferromagnetic/ferromagnetic bilayers of Ir19Mn81 and Ni80Fe20 or Co90Fe10. The exchange-biasing field and the coer...

Hard magnetic properties of melt-spun R(Fe,M)12 nitrides (R=Nd or Pr; M=Mo or V)
The hard magnetic properties of nitrided melt-spun R(Fe,M)12 (R=Pr and Nd, M=V and Mo) ribbons have been investigated. Hard magnetic powders were prepared by vacuum annealing of ground ribbons in the ...

The magnetic phase diagrams of Fe/Mn/Fe trilayers with the noncollinear interlayer coupling in the form of the proximity magnetism model were theoretically studied. The C+C phase diagram in the remanent magnetization state predicts very rich spin configurations. The HC+ and HC phase diagrams show that the spin configurations of Fe/Mn/Fe trilayers depend strongly on the external magnetic field, the anisotropy of Fe layers, and the coupling coefficients C+ and C. Our experimental results of noncollinear spin configurations of Fe/Mn/Fe trilayers strongly support the magnetic phase diagrams based on the proximity magnetism model. ©2000 American Institute of Physics.
