Co-Monotone Interpolating Splines of Arbitrary Degree—a Local Approach
The purpose of this note is to describe a method for constructing $C^k $ splines of degree $n(0 < k < n - k)$ which interpolate an arbitrary set of data. These splines are obtained using Bernste...

We analyze the statistical performance of uniform pseudorandom numbers generated by the generalized feedback shift register (GFSR) algorithm of Lewis and Payne. Tests for equidistribution and for statistical independence of successive pseudorandom numbers are considered. We establish effective criteria for the choice of parameters in the GFSR algorithm which guarantee a good performance under these tests. ©1987 Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics
