Forming nanosize MgO coatings on a glass surface
Source: J. Opt. Technol. 77, 45 (2010); doi:10.1364/JOT.77.000045
Issue Date: 8 March 2010
This article shows that nanosize (10–15 nm thick) MgO protective coatings can be formed on glass surfaces, using aqueous and water-alcohol solutions of magnesium nitrate. The effect of the concentration and pH of the solutions on the coating structure is investigated.
