Science Joins Participants in AIP/APS Virtual Journals
As of their mid-August issues, the AIP/APS Virtual Journal of Nanoscale Science & Technology (www.vjnano.org) and Virtual Journal of Biological Physics Research (www.vjbio.org) will include topically relevant Research Articles and Reports from Science magazine (www.sciencemag.org). The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) is providing AIP and APS with abstracts from Science for posting in the Virtual Journals without access restrictions, so that the communities using the Virtual Journals can have a convenient route to access related articles in Science.

As with articles from other source journals, abstracts from Science are incorporated into the Virtual Journal environment, including convenient Virtual Journal navigational links. However, since full-text articles from Science do not reside on AIP's Scitation platform, Virtual Journal users will need to follow links to the abstracts at Science's online platform in order to access the full text. Science subscribers will thus have convenient links to the full-text articles, while those who do not subscribe to Science can purchase the articles via Science's online facilities.

All Research Articles and Reports in the most recent issues of Science will be reviewed by the Virtual Journal Editors, with those topically relevant selected and placed into appropriate subject headings within the Virtual Journal. Thus, articles from Science will appear in the Virtual Journals roughly one week to one month after publication in Science, depending on the frequency of the Virtual Journal.
