| What is an AIP Article Pack? |
An AIP Article Pack is a bulk discount purchase of any 12, 25 or 50 articles
from 9 AIP journals and AIP Conference Proceedings. You may search and
browse AIP publications, and any full text article you download will be
added to your Article Pack. You have 12 months to download
your 12 or 12, 25 or 50 articles, during which time you may
keep track of your downloads on a personalized account page. Article Packs
represent a significant savings over single-article purchases, and members
of AIP Member Societies save even more.

| How does member discounting work? |
You are entitled to the member price if you are a member of one of the 10
AIP Member Societies.
During the registration process you will have the option of entering your society membership ID number which will entitle you to a special discount price for Article Packs.
If you already have an AIP Store account and you would like to take advantage of the member discount for Article Packs, visit the AIP Store and proceed as follows:
- Click on "My Account" at the top of the page.
- Login and click on the "Personal Information" link in the User Information section on the left.
- Enter your society membership ID and click the "Update" button.
The discounted price will appear in your order confirmation at the end of the order process, prior to submitting the order.

| How do I buy an AIP Article Pack? |
To purchase an AIP Article Pack, please visit the AIP Store and
follow the instructions to set up an account and add items to your shopping cart.

| After my account is set up, how do I download articles to my Article Pack? |
To begin using your AIP Article Pack, you can sign in at the AIP Article
Pack Account Summary Page located at
http://scitation.aip.org/articlepacks, or you may go directly to the AIP Article Packs Source Publications gateway at
http://scitation.aip.org/articlepacks/ArticlePacks_sb.jsp. Once you
are signed in, you can begin your research by browsing or searching the
collection of AIP journals and proceedings. Please note that you will be prompted for your login when you click on a PDF or Search link.

| Will I be charged (debited) for FREE articles? |
AIP makes a small amount of content available for free, i.e. users do not
need to pay a subscription fee to view these articles. To ensure your AIP
Article Pack is not debited when you view these articles, please log out of
your Article Pack. Free issues include the following message on the Table of
Contents:

| How can I monitor my download history and check to see how many downloads I have left? |
To view your download history or to check to see how many downloads are remaining in your account, login to your personal Article Pack Account Summary where the following information is provided:
- The articles in your download history are listed by the date and time they were downloaded.
- Each title in the list is linked to the article abstract.
- Each article in the list includes a link to the full-text PDF.
- Your download total and remaining downloads are indicated toward the top of the page.
- Links to your Account Management Center are also provided should you need to refill your pack.
The AIP Article Pack
Account Summary Page also features on-screen warnings to alert
you when you have five downloads remaining and when you've exhausted
your downloads. These on-screen alerts are complemented by e-mail
notifications, all designed to allow you to you renew your subscription before
your subscription expires
and avoid any loss of service.

| How much time do I have to download my articles? |
You may select and download your 12, 25 or 50 articles over the course of a
12-month period. Rights to download new articles cease in two cases: (1)
all 12, 25 or 50 articles have been downloaded, or (2) the 12-month period has
elapsed. If you exhaust all your downloads prior to the end of the
12-month period, you will still be able to view previously downloaded
articles and your account summary until the end of the 12-month term. If
you
wish to download additional articles, you need to refill your pack.

| For how long will my AIP Article Pack account remain active? |
Your account will be considered active for the entire 12-month period of
your subscription, regardless of the number of downloads remaining in
your pack. With an active account, you will be able to access your entire
account history and view previously downloaded articles. If you choose
not to renew your pack before the end of this 12-month period, your account
becomes inactive and all access will be cut off.

| How do I refill my AIP Article Pack? |
Simply click on the "Refill My Pack" link appearing at the top of the AIP Article Pack Summary Page (also at the top of this page). This link will take you to the Article Packs Store where you can purchase another pack of 12, 25 or 50 articles. Be sure to see if you qualify for a member discount. You'll always
know when to renew, since you can instantly see how many downloads you have
left. In addition, you'll receive both on-screen and e-mail notices warning
you when your pack is almost depleted.

| What happens to any remaining downloads in my subscription if I choose not to renew at the end of the 12-month period? |
You will lose all remaining downloads in your pack at the end of 12 months
if you do not renew. If you choose to refill your pack, all remaining
downloads will be credited to your new pack. Renewals may be placed at any
time and you may purchase more than one AIP Article Pack at a time, subject
to approval by AIP.

| What happens to my "AIP Article Pack Summary" if I choose not to renew and allow my account to become inactive? |
Inactive accounts will no longer be able to access their AIP Article Pack
account. For expired accounts that are inactive, AIP will maintain the
download history in the AIP Article Pack Summary for one year after the
expiration date of the account. If before the end of this time you choose to
renew, all of your download history will appear once again in your account.
Please be aware that any remaining downloads in these accounts will go to
zero at the time your account expires, so that remaining downloads will not
be reinstated.
