This volume contains the proceedings of the Sixth International Workshop on Information Optics (WIO'07). The workshop addressed the scientific developments in the wide field of information optics. Its main aim was to present the latest advances in information photonics, imaging sciences and engineering, 3D image sensing and display, polarimetric imaging, image based information security, image recognition and novel image sensors. This aim was successfully accomplished, thanks to the contributions of researchers from different communities, assessing the state of the art in this subject.
