JETP Letters Online is published semimonthly
by the American Institute of Physics Online Journals Service,
and is a translation of the copyrighted journal
Pis'ma v Zhurnal Eksperimental'noi i Teoreticheskoi Fiziki
(Letters to Journal of Experimental and Theoretical Physics)
published by the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The online journal, like its printed counterpart,
contains all the material
appearing in the original articles.
The publication of the Russian original and
of the translation began with the issue of 5 April 1965.
Two volumes are published annually beginning in January
and July. There is no publication charge.
The American Institute of Physics and its translators propose
to translate faithfully all the material appearing in the
original articles. The views expressed in the translations
are therefore those of the original authors, and
not of the translators nor
of the American Institute of Physics. The transliteration
of the names of Russian authors follows essentially the
standard agreed upon by the British Standards Institute
and the American National Standards Institute.
