Author Instructions
Only papers not previously published will be accepted, and authors must agree not to publish elsewhere a paper submitted to and accepted by the Journal. It is a condition of the acceptance of papers that copyright shall be vested in the Tire Society. All submissions must include the Transfer of Copyright form.
Manuscripts should follow the same style conventions that are observed by the Journal.
An example of manuscript format conventions is available in Microsoft Word format, here:
Order of assembly:
- title page (including the author's complete mailing address, phone number, and e-mail address),
- abstract and key words,
- body of manuscript,
- references,
- list of table captions, tables
- list of figure captions, figures
Manuscripts should be double spaced. SI units should be used throughout the text and on the figures; authors may include other units in parentheses.
Color: Printed issues of the journal will appear only in black and white. Authors must ensure that critical information in color figures will not be lost when rendered in black and white. Online issues of the journal will include color figures, if provided by the author.
Electronic Submissions: Manuscripts in Microsoft Word format, with file size no greater than 5 MB, should be emailed to editor@tiresociety.org. Manuscript files that exceed 5 MB may be submitted on CD to the Editor at the address shown below.
