password. You DO NOT need to sign up again to use Scitation's personalization
features. New individual subscribers will receive the
same bundled access transparently and will not need to sign up.

Institutional Users/Subscribers: You DO NOT have to create an account
or login to access your library's subscriptions to Scitation online publications (seamless IP access from subscribing institutions will
not change and no login is required). Please continue to use SPIN Web to
search across publications, just as before. Registration and
login is ONLY required if you use Scitation's personalization features.

What Is Scitation? |
Scitation is
home for more than 150 technical publications
from 20 prominent scientific publishers, and has been a fixture in the online publishing world
since 1996. In an average month, Scitation supports more than two million
user sessions. Users download more than two million tables of contents,
one million abstracts, and one million full-text articles, and perform
more than one million searches. Scitation contains approximately 600,000
articles, and grows at the rate of more than 6,000 articles per month. |

How Do I Sign Up, and What are the Benefits? |
|
Individuals, even those who access Scitation via institutional
subscriptions, are encouraged to sign up now to
become part of the Scitation user community. Registration requires
only a valid email address, your name, and professional affiliation, and
takes only a few minutes to complete. Once you're registered, you'll be
able to:

- Easily create a customized Scitation entry page with exclusive,
easy-to-use personalization tools, including MyArticles and
MyPublications, two powerful components that allow you to
navigate the system based on your journal preferences or interests.
- Download properly formatted citations of every article on Scitation
and export them into your bibliographic management software or directly
into your manuscript or compuscript. Scitation supports downloading in these formats:
- BibTEX (including RevTEX)
- EndNote® (generic)
- EndNote® (RIS)
- Medline
- RefWorks
- and plain text (ASCII)
- Execute searches across multiple collections in a variety of ways with one click. Author names
throughout the service are linked to Scitation's powerful search engine
-- click on any name to find other articles by the same author).
Searches can be conducted on any issue from the table of contents (just
click "Search this Issue").
