AVS Publications Migrate to Digital Library on C3 Platform
AVS united all of their publications under a Digital Library umbrella as they migrated to Scitation's C3 Platform. Researchers can find innovative new highlights and functionality such as views of session specific search and browsing history, alerting services such as RSS, and additional member/subscriber only tools such as downloadable article objects (figures, tables, multimedia, etc.),
The site provides easy access to browse content, to C3's powerful MarkLogic faceted search capability, mobile views, and coming soon access to all journal content through iAVS - AVS's iPhone/iPad app.
JVST and Biointerphases are also pleased to debut the AIP Peer X-Press online submission tool that speeds time to publication by streamlining peer review functions. Authors can conveniently upload article text, graphics, supplemental and multimedia files.
"AVS is excited that the innovative features and tools in the AIP Scitation C3 and Peer X-Press platforms and are now available to our members, subscribers, authors, and researchers. Migrating to C3 and Peer X-Press, as well as the redesign of our publication covers, have given AVS journals a fresh new look. Our new websites provide enhanced search options and highlight recently published content while Peer X-Press allows authors to conveniently upload article text, graphics, supplemental and multimedia files and to check manuscript status online. All these new capabilities provide users a superior online experience."-Mark Engelhard, AVS Publications Committee Chair
