AIP Conference Proceedings 935

Conference Location and Date: Sousse, Tunisia, 25-28 March 2007

Subseries: Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics; Materials Physics and Applications; None

Published October 2007; ISBN 978-0-7354-0446-5, One Volume, Print; 280 pages; 6 3/8 X 9 1/4 inches; Hardcover; $120.00

Readership: Researchers in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, who are concerned with spectroscopy especially with the cross-disciplinary aspects. Also, all scientists who might be interested in having an overview of the research carried out in spectroscopy, mainly in Tunisia.

All papers have been peer-reviewed. The focus of the Second International Spectroscopy Conferences was spectroscopy and its applications in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Researchers gathered in these fields from 15 countries, mainly North Africa and Europe. The Conference provided an opportunity to present and discuss the newest results in fundamental and applied spectroscopy from both theoretical and experimental sides. The cross-disciplinary aspects were particularly emphasized. Topics discussed included: X-ray spectroscopy, infrared and Raman spectroscopy, electron and photoelectron spectroscopy, optical and dielectric properties, atomic and molecular spectroscopy, mass spectroscopy, electron-ion scattering; excitation and ionization, gamma spectroscopy, spectroscopic techniques, spectroscopy applications in nuclear, medical and industrial physics.
